Sam Swenson is the founder and head attorney of The Swenson Law Firm. His practice focuses on Estate Planning and Business Planning.
Mr. Swenson obtained his law degree from The University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law located in Sacramento, CA. His undergraduate degree is from The University of Utah, majoring in Chinese and minoring in English. He earned a certificate in International Business Transactions with Chinese Characteristics from Cornell Law School in their law institute in Suzhou, China. He completed a concentration in intellectual property and earned Witkin Awards in both the Law of Copyrights and the Law of Treaties.
He is a member of the Sacramento Bar Association, American Bar Association and the J. Reuben Clark Society. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in Northern California and serves on the board of the Orangevale Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Swenson enjoys speaking at events and teaching. Some of the events include: guest speaker at Sacramento State University, guest speaker at The Women’s Veterans Alliance Conference, guest speaker at learning luncheons such as for continuing education for forensic accountants, and guest speaker for a horse club. Mr. Swenson comes from a line of entrepreneurs. Their examples of hard work, creativity, and community involvement inspired him to start his own practice in 2013. Previously he was an attorney for Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard, and Smith and with Randolph, Cregger, and Chalfant.
Mr. Swenson enjoys playing guitar, backpacking with his wife and daughters, and minor home improvement projects.
